PROCEDURES
What should you do with your papers
In the Philippines:
You need to have a value passport of the Philippines.
You need a single statement (cenomar) or notarized marriage certificate *, and affidavit
You need a notarized Birth certificate*
Affidavit of content of the natural father/mother (if alive, otherwise a certificate of his/her death) or any relevant custody papers (when your child is traveling with you)*
Other family members: notarized documents which show the family relationship*
*not older then 6 month
These papers you have to let them legalize by the following Philippine authorities:
National Statistic office (NSO)
DFA Office Ministry foreign affairs
Embassy of destination country
When the embassy has legalize the papers they will in case of a tourist visa (6 weeks) give out the Visa sticker in your passport in a short time. In case of family/ partner reunification the embassy will send your papers to the ministry of foreign affairs in the destination country who will give the permission (this can take 3 months).
Note that the Embassy will have a interview with you, which questions can be very nasty when you are not prepared or think you can hide the truth for them. When you want interview training and/or documents check up before you meet the embassy, you can get it here
The destination country
Your partner need an extract of the population register from the city hall
an employment contract for at least 1 year
recent employers declaration
His last 3 payroll slips
invitation letter statement that he is responsible for you during your stay in the destination country.
In case of family reunification also a so called M46 formula (given out by the city hall) (they want that for purpose to avoid fake marriage)
